Dongyan Xu
Prof. Dongyan Xu, Professor
Prof. Dongyan Xu received her B.Eng., M.Eng., and D.Eng. degrees from the Department of Engineering Mechanics at Tsinghua University in 1998, 2004, and 2004, respectively. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vanderbilt University in 2008. After that, she worked as a Postdoc Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of California, Berkeley for two years. She joined the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong as an Assistant Professor in August 2010, where she is currently a Professor. Her research interests include thermoelectrics, thermal management, nanoscale heat transfer, energy conversion and storage, and micro/nanofluidics.

Yucheng Xiong received his B.S. degree (2013) in Energy and Power Engineering from Huazhong University of Science & Technology. In Aug 2013, he joined the group as a Ph.D. student. After graduation, he continues to work in the same group as a Research Assistant and a Postdoc Fellow. His research is focusing on tuning thermal transport properties of one-dimensional nanostructures.

Mr. Yi Liu obtained his B.S. degree from the Department of Thermal and Power Engineering, Huazhong University of Sci.&Tch. in 2014. At the same year, he joined the Nano Energy Research Laboratory as a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His current research focuses on the enhancement of pool boiling performance with micro-structured surfaces.

Jiaqi Tang

Mr. Haoxiang Wei obtained his B.S. degree (2013) in Mechanical Engineering and Automation from Xi’an Jiaotong University and MPhil degree (2015) from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He joined the group as a Ph.D student in August 2016 and focuses on synthesis and characterization of nanostructured thermoelectric materials.

Jian Zhang

Fengju Yao obtained her B.S. degree and Master degree from the Department of Energy Science and Engineering in Harbin Institute of Technology in 2015 and 2017, respectively. In March 2018, she joined the group as a RA. In August 2018, She became a Ph.D student. Her research is focusing on studying thermal transport characteristics of nanowires.
